About Third Eye Exteriors

My name is Gavin Schaefer, and I’m a 23-year-old aspiring entrepreneur from North Iowa. For the past three years, I worked in management at Menards, climbing the corporate ladder and discovering my love for helping people. However, I soon realized I wanted more for myself, my friends, and my family, which inspired me to launch my own business focused on exterior home care. I started a while back by mowing lawns and have since expanded into power washing, small tree removal, general landscaping, gutter cleaning, and weed whacking, all with the aim of helping people make their houses and yards look exactly how they want. As I transition from my management role at Menards to making this business my primary focus, I’m excited to serve more clients and bring their vision for their homes to life. I love being outdoors, delivering a job well done—especially for someone else—and embracing the freedom of entrepreneurship. Though I’m still early in this journey, with few customers and limited experience, I’m learning as I go and saving up for top-notch equipment to tackle every season. My challenges lie in growing the business and scaling it effectively, but I’m committed to standing out with excellent customer service and making the process effortless for my customers. Looking ahead, I dream of turning this into an all-season service, offering year-round exterior home care across all of North Iowa. I envision a subscription-based model where clients can schedule services and make payments automatically online, paired with strong relationships so I can anticipate their needs without constant communication. My goal is to be the go-to guy everyone trusts to make their house look great, no matter the weather, ensuring their lives are easier when it comes to the outside of their home.
